    Financial agreemend signed for a master plan for transport

    News from the IRE member region Sisak-Moslavina (Croatia):
    The Prefect of the County Sisak-Moslavina, Ivo Žinić, accompanied by his deputies Roman Rosavec and Ivan Celjak, signed on 25th of January 2018 with the Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, and the Director of Central Financing and Contract Agency for EU Projects, Tomislav Petric, in the presence of the President of the Croatian Road Association Josip Škorić, a grant agreement for the development of the master plan for transport development of the Sisak-Moslavina region.
    The seven million Croatian Kuna contract, for which an 85% subsidy has been granted from EU funds, will allow the development of a regional Transport Strategy Paper (Masterplan) to strengthen the region’s development potential and create the conditions for the sustainable development of the local and regional mobility. The aim is to improve the region’s infrastructure and connectivity.
    Žinić thanked Minister Butković for giving the region almost 25 million kuna for the roads in the past year and presented the minister the greatest desire of the population, namely the completion of the highway from Lekenik to Sisak. Mentioned was also the completion of the construction of the Sisak station, the asphalting of the road from Vatra to Pokupski and the problem of the border crossing Dvor.
    Minister Butković said that the construction of the bridge over Odri and access roads is an important infrastructure project worth about 200 million, for which a blueprint is to be announced this year. Completion of work on Sisak station is expected this year. Last year, around 27 million kuna was invested in the renovation of the state roads in the area of Sisak Moslavina.
    Following the signing of the contract, the Minister and the Prefect visited the Thundels Bridge in Sisak, which is due to be refurbished in May.
    Sisak-Moslavina wants to become the Croatian center of the computer games industry
    Sisak-Moslavina would like to become the Croatian center of the computer games industry, prefect Žinić emphasized at the presentation of the incubator PISMO – Novska, the first Croatian incubator for games industry, on 26th of January 2018. It is an investment of 25 million kuna, which includes two buildings renovated in Novska, which provide premises for 16 companies.
    The project will be realized within the framework of “Business Infrastructure Development”, initiated by the Croatian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Trade and implemented by the development agency SIMORA. The implementation of the project started on 1st of September 2017 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The partners of the development agency Sisak-Moslavina are the region Sisak-Moslavina and the development agency of Zagreb.

    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Craft Martina Dalić stressed at the presentation of the project that the government is doing everything it can to improve the working conditions of companies involved in the development of computer games.
    Delegation of the Virovitica-Podravina region on a working visit to the Sisak-Moslavina region
    Sisak-Moslavina’s Prefect Ivo Žinić, welcomed together with his deputies, Roman Rosavec and Ivan Celjak, on 30th of January 2018, the prefect of the Virovitica-Podravina region, Igor Andrović, with his deputies Marijo Klement and Darko Žužak, who had come to Sisak-Moslavina for a return visit. The Virovitica-Podravina region is also a member of the IRE.

    After a working meeting, the 23rd International Fair of Economy, Crafts and Agriculture “Viroexpo 2018″, in which the Sisak-Moslavina region is a partner, was visited. The guests of Virovitica-Podravina also visited the company Applied Ceramics d. O. and Sisak Business Incubator.
