Integration as a central theme for a united Europe:
For many years, the Institute of the Regions has been working closely with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. Each year the ministry produces a well-founded integration report.
This year’s report provides a detailed overview of the current situation of integration policy and deals with the control integration as well as the accounting of refugee integration. A competent expert council prepared this annual report, which consists of a static yearbook and an integration report.
A major part of the Integration Act (IntG) entered into force on June 9th 2017, with the aim of ensuring the rapid integration of persons entitled to asylum and subsidiary protection from the age of 15 (whose status has been awarded after 31 December 2014) as well as the integration of lawfully established third-country nationals.
